  Elicia Reynolds

 

Musical Activities:

  Elicia began violin lessons at age five, and was requested by the youth conductor to join the Palm Beach Youth Symphony a year later. She performed numerous concerts including a performance at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. When her family relocated to Parrish, Florida in 1999, she joined the Florida West Coast Youth Symphony and performed with them for six consecutive years, serving as concert mistress several times. At the age of thirteen, she auditioned for and joined The Venice Symphony during the 2004-2005 season. Currently in her seventh consecutive season, she is performing with them as assistant principal second violin. In addition to the Venice Symphony, she has also performed with the Sarasota Pops for two seasons from 2006 to 2008. In 2010, she joined The South Shore Symphony Orchestra and performed as assistant concert mistress and as concertmistress. She also joined Anna Maria Island Concert Chorus and Orchestra and is performing with them for the 2010-2011 season. Recently, she relocated to the South Philly and is now performing with the Delaware County Symphony in Aston, PA, and the Rose Tree Pops located in Media, PA. Over the years she has performed with Stephen, the Kraft Trio, and a classical guitarist on a number of occasions for weddings, Christmas shows, and restaurant events. Her performance venues include the 800 Bay Restaurant and Club, the Four Seasons in Philadelphia, and the Sugarhouse Casino in Philadelphia.

Education:

Elicia has been homeschooled for twelve years and graduated high school with honors. Due to her exceptional grades and SAT scores, she was awarded the prestigious Presidential Award of Academic Achievement.

Figure Skating:

At age six, Elicia began figure skating and participated and medaled in several competitions as a singles skater. In 2002, she then partnered with her brother, Stephen, and began competing in ice dancing. In less than a year after training together, they won the gold medal at the 2003 South Atlantic Regional Championships. Later on, they won the gold medal at the 2007 South Atlantic Regional Championships and the silver medal at the 2007 Junior National Championships. Currently, she is training with 1980 Olympic champions Natalia Linichuk and Gennadiy Karponossov located just south of Philadelphia and will be competing at the 2012 Eastern Sectional Championships.

Other Activities:

  In addition to figure skating, Elicia supplemented her training with numerous genres of dancing including ballet, jazz, tap, and smooth and Latin ballroom dancing. Elicia has participated in and won several international competitions in ballroom dancing with Stephen. Also, she has performed with local ballet schools in a number of ballets including the Nutcracker, Copellia, and Sleeping Beauty. Lastly, Elicia has volunteered with assisting young members of the Florida West Coast Youth Symphony program, and is currently offers private and group classes as part the Learn to Skate Program at her local rink.

 



  Stephen Reynolds

Education:

  Stephen has been homeschooled for twelve years. He graduated in 2010 and received honors for his work.
 

Skating and other activities:
 

  At age 5, Stephen began playing hockey; due to his skating ability, he played against 10 year olds, and did not compete with others his age. In 1999, he began figure skating and competed as a singles skater and medaled in many
competitions; in 2002, he began ice dancing with his sister, Elicia, and they won the gold in the 2003 South Atlantic Regional Championships. In 2006, they won the gold medal in the 2007 South Atlantic Regional Championships in their
division, and the silver in the 2007 Junior National Championships in their division. Currently, he is pursuing his competitive career in ice dancing with Natalia Linichuk and Gennadiy Karponossov, winners of the 1980 Olympics in ice dancing and will be competing in the 2012 Eastern Sectional Championships. In addition to figure skating, Stephen supplemented his
training with myriad of different styles of dance, including hip-hop, jazz, tap, ballet, and ballroom dancing. Stephen has participated in and won several international ballroom dancing competitions with his sister Elicia, and has done several ballets, including The Nutcracker, Copellia, and Sleeping Beauty. Lastly, he offers instruction on fundamental skating skills to young children in the Learn to Skate program at his local rink.
 

Violin:

assistant concert master. He then auditioned for The Venice Symphony and was
accepted at age thirteen, the 2006-2007 season. He has performed with them for three consecutive seasons. In addition, he has also performed with the Sarasota Pops for two seasons from 2006 to 2008. He then joined The South Shore Symphony Orchestra in 2010, and performed with them for their first five concerts and has served as principal second violin. He also has joined Anna Marina Island Concert Chorus and Orchestra and has performed with them for the 2010-2011 season. In February of 2011, he relocated to the South Philly suburbs and is currently performing with the Delaware County Symphony and the Rose Tree Pops. Throughout the years, Stephen has performed with Elicia in a number of events, including weddings, Christmas shows, and entertainment at restaurants such as the 800 Bay Restaurant and Club.
